Reports from w/c Sat 3rd Feb

Hockey
The 14A’s faced Haberdashers in Tier 2 of the National Cup on Tuesday, and made a difficult start, going 2-0 down at half-time. However, the boys rallied tremendously, playing some scintillating hockey to come roaring back to win the game 3-2 and advance to the next round. Shoutouts to Ollie Taylor for a superb hat-trick and James Fendius for some dynamic play in midfield and a big well done to all!

Netball

Congratulations to the senior netball squads who continued their strong seasons with top performances against SHSK – two wins from 3 with the 1st team winning 30-9.

Sailing

On Saturday 17 February, Daniel Larsen and his brother Adam competed in the Oxford Blue, the last regatta in the Selden Sailjuice Series. 98 boats of many different classes competed in challenging gusty conditions at Farmoor Reservoir, almost all crewed by adults. Daniel and his brother came 25th overall, making them the first youth boat in the regatta. MCS Sailing Professional, Mr Pearson, came 29th, beating the Cokethorpe coach, who came 30th overall. Well done to all that competed.

The team of the week is the U14A hockey team.
