Magdalen's U14s have beaten all the competition in Oxfordshire, gaining passage to next year's National Cup Competition.

Winning the toss, Alex elected to bat first. An early wicket fell leaving Arthur and Ben to steady the ship. A partnership of 60 runs between the pair allowed the middle order to accelerate the run rate. Alex, Teddy and Monty had the freedom to support their opening batter. Special mention to Arthur, scoring 66*, including 7 fours to all parts of the ground.

After a short break, opening bowler Arthur set the standard. Finishing with outstanding figures (5O, 3M, 14R, 2W). Up step Monty. After an expensive first over, 12 Runs, the screw was tightened. The extra pace and change of angle ensured Monty picked up the first 5 wicket haul of the season (5O, 1M, 25R, 5W). Admirably supported by the other Arthur (6O, 2M, 12R, 2W), it was left to Teddy to wrap up the fixture with his first ball. Kian showed great energy behind the stumps to take three catches and a stumping.

Result: Magdalen Win by 92 Runs
