Football

The U16 A and B teams were away to Dr Challoner’s this week. The B’s struggled, however the A’s had a miraculous 2-1 win - A brace from Aniq Anub secured the victory.

Our Senior Boys played against Wellington College on Thursday evening. The 1sts won 3-2, with two fine goals from Ralph Hargreaves and a calm penalty from Freddie Leydon. Alejandro Arenas Oliveros defended admirably in a fine performance at right back.

Our 2nds drew 2-2, with an unfortunate penalty miss and the 3rd team lost 8-1.

On Saturday our 4 Senior Boys teams travelled to Radley College. The 1sts lost 2-1, There were also defeats for our 2nds (2-1) and 3rds (6-1) however our 4ths fought out a 1-1 draw.

Our U16 A’s were brought back down to earth with an 8-0 defeat at home to a very strong Radley College U16A team.

Rowing

Wednesday saw the Rowing Squad battle extreme rain at the Junior Sculling Head at Dorney Lake. The J18 quad did fantastically to place 14 of 24 crews, our best ever senior result at this event by a large margin. J17s came 15th of 19, J16s 31st of 35, J15s 50th and 53rd of 59 and the J14s had a fantastic row in some of the worst conditions of the day to come 22nd and 33rd of 42.

Basketball

Congratulations to the senior first team who drew 38-38 with Bloxham this week. Earlier on in the season they lost 28-48 to the same team – so a huge improvement across the term – well done. Top scorers were Isabella Winifrith & Niall Randall-Carrera

Cross-country

Well done to the seniors who competed in the open parkrun race at the weekend. Archie Cave finished first out of the MCS runners, well done to all of you who trained hard to prepare for this over the term.

Fencing

Congratulations to Darcy Herring-Johnson who took Gold in U18 women's sabre and Silver in epee in the Southern Region British Youth Championship qualifiers. She also represented MCS at the Public Schools Fencing Championship in London taking the Bronze medal in U18 Women's Foil.

Team of the week is the U14B Hockey team for their 4-0 victory against Bloxham
