House Hockey

This Saturday saw superb numbers attend House Hockey and compete in all age groups. There were some closely contested competitions, with over 300 pupils involved on the day. Thank you to all the players who played, but in particular the goalkeepers who played for all houses.

The age group winners were:

U12s & U13s – Walker, U14s – Maltby, U15s – Chavasse, U16s – Walker & Seniors – Chavasse

Thank you to Mr Stone for his efforts in coordinating the tournaments and delivery of goalkeeper kits!

House Football

On Thursday afternoon, the first Senior 11-a-side mixed house football tournament was played. There was a fantastic level of spirit and competition on display, as every house fielded brilliant squad numbers. The houses were split in to two pools. Pool A – Callender, Maltby & Wilkinson, Pool B – Chavasse, Leicester & Walker. Callender won both their games 1-0 to finish top of Pool A, so will face Chavasse who finished top of Pool B. The 3rd v 4th will be played between Wilkinson & Walker with Leicester & Maltby battling it out for 5th & 6th place.

The U16s pool games took place on Friday with Pool A results directly contrasting the Senior version. Maltby won a sudden death shootout to finish ahead of Wilkinson, with Callender in 3rd. In Pool B, Walker qualified for next week’s final with Leicester heading to the 3rd/4th and Chavasse in the 5th/6th.

The finals will be played on Thursday and Friday of this week. House Netball also starts this week, so good luck to all involved.
