MCS Sport – Michaelmas 2020

Sports Report – Week 8

Conditions made it a tough day for all teams in Round 2 of the MCS Six Nations. All teams were equipped with a different tactical challenge ahead of this weekend, testing the boys’ ability to adapt.

Despite the weather, the atmosphere was competitive and purposeful in all age groups. All teams now have a ‘rest weekend’, before the final round of games on 28th November. Each team will play their remaining fixture, before a final playoff game to decide final standings.

Current Leaders:

U12 – Wales

U13 – Scotland

U14 – France

U15 – Italy

U16 – England

Seniors – Scotland

We are also looking forward to the house competition on the 5th December.

After School Sport

These sessions will continue for the remainder of term. These sessions will now take place between Milham Ford and the Sports Hall, so please bring trainers instead of boots. All are welcome within their year group bubble.

Real Tennis

Congratulations to Henry Henman who won the British Open title at U14s. Henry played superbly throughout the tournament and won the final 6-1, 6-0.

Player of the week – Well done to Tom Shelley, 3rd Form, who displayed great leadership in his age group’s rugby tournament this weekend.
