Internal Tournament

U12 & 13 C, D & E teams played an internal festival in a round robin, providing great experience of match play for all.

Sailing

BSDRA Finals

A tough weekend for the Fevas, who finished in 17th, but won races on both days. Great experience for them as a young crew. The 2nd VI came 16th of 21, and hopefully will have learnt a huge amount. The 1st VI just scraped into gold league after winning 11 wins from 14 races, then then just scraped into knockouts with 3 from 5 in gold league (including a win over Sevenoaks). Then they switched it on and won their semi against RGS convincingly, but then lost the final to Sevenoaks. 2nd overall - same as last year - so keeping the record of top 3 since 2006 intact!

Rowing

The rowers had a fantastic Sunday at Thames Valley Park Regatta, a 3-lane knockout event. All crews rowed exceptionally well against some strong competition, leading to multiple nail-biting races.

J16 single (Gregg): 3rd in heat

J16 single (Bradbery): 3rd in heat

J14 quad: 2nd in heat (3 of the rowers racing for the first time and in the A division!)

J15 double: 2nd in heat

J15 quad: 2nd in semi-final

J14 single (MJ): 2nd in final

Schools single (Pullinger): 2nd in final (racing up an age category against 2 GB hopefuls)

J15 single (Underwood): Winner of the event

Team of the week – 1st VI Sailors for finishing 2nd at the BDRSA competition

Performance of the day goes to Fin Szafnauer who finished 16th at the British Schools Championship. On his handicap he was rated 122nd out 125 players, which makes this all the more remarkable. He finished 6 over after 4 rounds!
